Why the 6700k instead of the 6600k?

I'll be using this for gaming exclusively btw. Do you thank that the i7 with hyperthreading will be a bigger advantage in the near-ish future for gaming? Perhaps with DX12? Everything I've read, benchmarks I've seen, etc...show a negligible advantage for i7 over i5 for gaming, but perhaps that will change soon?

In games you will get average of 5-8fps gain and not only games but many other applications will run much more smoothly on i7 than i5. Other main thing is that it comes in your budget why not go for i7.
