so at the moment i have a dual core apu 6 cpu.
i also have 16 gb ram and a r7 370.
i can play star wars battlefront 3 at 50-60 fps on ultra settings on the smaller maps like missions
but when it comes to the big maps like on the new skirmish mode i only get 20-30 fps on low settings.
so im looking to get a new cpu that supports fm2+ as i am going to buy a fx 8350 at christmas.

Solution
Don't buy an FX-8350, it's already 4 years old and is starting to have difficulties in modern games. It has more cores than your current CPU, but those cores are actually slower per clock and based on an older design. AMD hasn't released a new design for socket AM3+ since 2012 and the platform is basically discontinued. Most reviewers aren't even including it anymore for comparison. AM4 will be coming out around the end of the year, with AMD's (long overdue) Zen CPU shortly thereafter.

Since you already have a GPU, an Athlon x4 860K would be a good choice for you.

Exactly the one I was gonna recommend, a very nice processor despite it lacks L3 cache, as all of AMDs APUs.
