Good afternoon!

I've read a few of the other threads here about this very same issue but as I've had no joy, I thought I'd ask the community. I bought an MSI GTX 970 today to replace my aging Gigabyte 660ti, but it's not working at all. When the HDMI cable is slotted into the card, I get a black screen with no signal, but the PC boots up fine.

My BIOS is up to date, the 970 is seated in the top slot closest to my processor and it's not loose.

System Specs:
Processor: i7 3770k
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3
PSU: Corsair TX650
RAM: 8GB

I don't want to believe the card is faulty, although I'm slowly resigning myself to this. I reseated my 660ti and it's still working as it was before I dismounted it. I can't install the drivers for the 970 as the nVidia drivers don't recognise the card.

Can anyone help?
