So I recently just bought the EVGA GTX 1070 Gaming FTW, but once installing realized that it did not have 2 DVI-D ports like my ASUS GTX 970.
I am currently running a dual 144hz monitor setup. I have 2 ACER GN246HL monitors. Both runing at 1080p.
The GTX 970 had to DVI-D ports which allowed me to connect my both my monitors via DVI-D and achieve 144hz. The GTX 1070 on the other hand, only has 1 DVI-D port, 1 HDMI 2.0 & 3 Display Port1.4.
I have been trying to look for a solution on achieving 144hz on my 2nd monitor. Based on my research it seems like HDMI 2.0 supports 144hz but it seems like my monitor doesnt support HDMI 2.0. Only other option left is to either find a HDMI to DisplayPort adapter or cable.
If anyone has any recommendations on what to do, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
