overheating the cpu and gpu

Hey guys i have a cpu i7-4790s in my pc and i am wondering what the safe temperature for this processor is, because i have a gtx 1060 6gb msi armor in my pc now and i want to be able to play games in a nice resolution, but i heard many stories of processors and gpu's which are to hot and which are damaged due to the temperature. Can somebody tell me what the safe temperature is for this cpu and gpu and what i can do in order to get to this safe temperature while playing games such as gta 5 and battlefield?

My gpu is like always under 80, but my cpu will raise to like 70-78 playing king of the kill, aren't there any other things to do like cleaning the dust out of the cpu? Or other things to get the temperature lower?

I will post that tomorrow morning, because i can't find the screwdriver at the moment, but i read more forums and there i was tolld that intel processors can be even 90 degrees without being damaged, could that be right according to your recommendings?
