Sup lads,

So I have bought a new Gigabyte Motherboard (GA-B85-HD3-A) with 4 memory slots and two Ballistix sport RAMs (DDR3, 8gb each). It seems that the only way to get the memories to work is to put both of them in channel A (slots 2 and 4) . When I try to put them in dual channel the computer just keeps turning on and off again and again. It also doesn't work if I put the memories on channel B.
Does anyone have a solution for this? I don't know what to do when I enter the bios, is there a problem with my mobo? I'm new at this pc-build thing so I might be doing something wrong too. Need guidance, pls help.

Sorry for the bad english and thanks in advance.

Solution
Most common problems with a 'lost' channel are the CPU cooler is too tight in a corner or side throwing the CPU out of level (full contact with the pins lost) or bent/broken CPU pins in the CPU socket
