My CPU heat sink came with no casing!

I ordered an AMD FX-6300 and on arrival the heat sink came with no form of casing should i just use it or try to get a replacement?

Not sure what no casing means. Can you post a pic?

The Heatsink came with no plastic covering and yes i'll post a picture soon
