Windows Key Shuts Down PC

Every time i press the windows key, my computer shuts down, when i press left ctrl my sound mutes and unmutes. I see that this has been a problem for other people also. I have sticky keys turned off, installed the newest keyboard driver. I have no idea what to do besides tear the windows key off my keyboard.

That`s weird... just a guess is your keyboard language set properly to US English and if you open a word document and type is it showing properly? Is it a laptop, if so did you try with a USB keyboard or if on a desktop try with a different keyboard... (Obviously) but I have only seen similar things like this happen to some of my clients laptops after they spill liquid on the keyboard.
