Replaced a Z97 pc mate with a h97 pc mate for reasons, now my cpu is getting ridiculously hot, up to 90C under load (used to be a bit over 70 at max), increasing fan speed doesn't seem to help. Any idea what could be wrong? Everything else is the same as far as I can tell, and all the fans seem to run fine

edit: as these things tend to go I fixed it right after I posted a question, one of the four clips was slightly less pushed in and that was enough for the major temp diff

don't think I never had to redo a cpu cooler job can be a fine line between right and wrong and good or bad temps . a slight goof someware in the process can be 10c

too tight , too loose , too much paste, to little tightened down crooked , uneven cpu lid or cooler surface ect...... just a bit more to it then just slapping one on

yeah I didn't realize a few mm difference can be so important, now I know
