So I bought a corsair vengence lpx 32GB 4x8gb 3200 kit for my msi x99s slit krait+ 5820k combo. Ram passes with manual speed/voltage/timings set to 2666 or lower. Fails mutiple memtest86 tests at 3200 with same settings in or out of xmp mode. All of this done with a default base 100. I've tried with all bios defaulted. Ive also tried increasing the voltage to 1.36 and 1.37 with similar results, not exactly sure how high I can safely go. I've tried with stable cpu overclock with no joy. So could one of these sticks be bad? Or is just a case of the ram not being able to maintain advertised speeds?

Thanks for any info. Please help.

Thanks tradesman, I've since tried each stick in slot 1 at xmp 3200 with 0 errors. I've tried two sticks in their respected slots with xmp 3200 and again no errors.

Trade I've tried with a stable oc of 4.5ghz. So in my msi bios will the VCCSA voltage be named the same thing and is it a safe change? I just recently updated the bios to try to remedy my ram issues. Is that +0.075 over stock voltage?

Edit I see vccio voltage, it's at 1.056v auto on defaults.
Looks to be the right one, controls memory controller?

So after moving the sticks around and some oddities, I've past a full memtest with 0 errors 4.5ghz 1.28v with xmp 3200. I didn't have to increase the voltage you suggested luckily. Thanks for the help guys. Fingers crossed I'm all good
