UEFI Bios setting

This is my 1st UEFI motherboard. ASRock Z97 Extreme 6. If I don't set the compatibly settings to IDE, when it boots, it says hard drive inaccessible. If I utilize the UEFI mb, would I have to reinstall all my operating systems? Thanks.

If you have installed a new MB, do not boot from your existing OS drive.
You should do a clean Windows install. That way the correct drivers will be installed.
