I just put together my first gaming pc. I don't have a romantic drive so I couldn't install the cds with all there utility software, which could be a good thing no bloat ware. So what are must have items? I already downloaded geforce experience. Any good oc apps ect..?

I recommend an antivirus (even a free one, like avast) along side malwarebytes for active protection.
7zip is useful to have, but I wouldnt say must have off the bat. Steam and Origin (battle.net too) are a given, skype (or discord preferably) are nice.

Proper AV was a given, hopefully nobody needs to be reminded about that ;)

As for 7zip, mostly for mods, a bit for simply backing up save files without taking too much space. It literally is <10mb to install and doesn't have any impact on system performance, so might as well install from the get-go!

I'm more talking about programs to oc and monitor stuff? I downloaded that evga one precision x oc but my oc keeps dropping off when I restart computer. What's a good cpu tracker?

precision x should keep the OC always, try reinstalling the newest version using "run as administrator".

As for "cpu tracker", there is absolutely zero point in using that sort of garbage unless you are debugging a system. It will just slow down the computer for no reason.

I know exactly what you meant, and it's still just as freaking pointless as it ever has been. You are just adding more load for zero benefit (even if you knew the temps, what the hell would that do to help you? not like you would stop playing or magically lower the temperature)
