I can't overclock my advertised 2400mhz ram no matter what.

Hi. I'm new to Tom's Hardware so I'm sorry if I put this in the wrong category by accident.

So back in early 2016 I decided to build an APU system. Here are the specs.
APU: A10 7870k OC @ 4.1 GHZ IGPU @ 945 MHZ
RAM: 16 Gigabytes of DDR3 RAM Rated for 2400mhz but running at 1866mhz (This is the problem)
Motherboard: F2A78M-D3H
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit

The problem is that since I want to get the most performance out of my APU, I want to overclock my ram to at least 2133mhz. The problem is I just simply can't. the max overclock I can achieve is 1866mhz, which isn't good enough. I've tried everything. I've tried manually setting the suggested ram timings, I've tried overclocking the ram without XMP (and with XMP) and basically everything I can think of without making a fourm thread on it. It would be great if somebody can help me with this problem. Thanks.

By the way, I don't know if this can help but I have 4 Corsair Vengeance Pro Ram sticks that are all rated for 2400mhz. Here is the page from Corsair's website of the RAM that I bought.

Solution

Don't waste a single penny on that thing. The performance increase from 1866 to 2400 is minimal, and if you have the option of returning it all you might as well just scrap the whole thing and get an i3 6100 like everyone else.

eh, I guess your right on that. I should of gone with the A88X chipset or better yet a regular cpu and gpu. Then again, this is my first pc build so I had almost no clarity when picking out the parts :p

And now you're stuck with a lot of useless junk (spec wise compared to the actual performance). Not much you can do if the motherboard doesn't accept the XMP for higher settings (most likely even manual overclocking won't help)

Technically yes, but http://download.gigabyte.asia/FileList/Memory/mb_memory_ga-f2a75m-d3h_v.3.0.pdf shows only the C10R version as being compatible at 2400, so it's up in the air.

I didn't suggest BIOS because it should have the newest already (can't use the cpu without one of the newer versions after all), but indeed that could be a solution.

I'll try installing that BIOS update but I kinda doubt it would work since I've downloaded the most recent one which supports godavari chips.
1/2 hour later: I used @BIOS which "updated" it but it was already at the latest BIOS version so that didn't work. Thanks for the help though.

So i've came to the conclusion that this motherboard is kind of a POS. If I buy the a88x version of this motherboard is there a possibility that it will work then?
