I'm a student who is planning to build his first build for studying and also some gaming as a hobby but nothing heavy. My parts list: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/GBCyKZ

The prices went up in UK and I would like to ask if I should wait for sales or are the prices going to go even higher before Christmas? Do you have any experience with bundles or any sales?

OKay okay, I'm sorry but I'm worried about my first build. I should rather ask another better questions. I'm thinking about saving £99.99 with using Linux Ubuntu instead of Windows 10. I'm studying Computing and I would like to keep going into more Programming stuff as well so using Linux would also give me more experience. The only bad thing about using Linux is that it doesn't run all the games available on steam but it also doesn't have all the installation drivers for certain GPUs. Should I just try to use Ubuntu for start? I used Linux Kali and Mint for a couple of months when completing my Crousework in school. Also I have a question about Ram. Do you think this is a good choice: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/JW4NnQ/crucial-memory-ct2k8g4dfs8213 or should I go for something with better quality or cheaper??? Thanks a lot with all this help guys. Thanks again.

Yes of course I do have a student email but I also heard about student discount cards but I don't think my schools does offer anything like this. Also on the official Microsoft website they only offer cheaper Microsoft office licenses for students but instead of Windows they offer chromebooks and 2in1 laptops for about £200-300 including Microsoft office I think. I already have a Microsoft office but I usually use Google drive where you are able to use the free formats for word document editing etc. I will probably use linux for now which will also give me some experience. But thank you for your suggestions too.
