I'm in the market for a good performance/price used GPU.

My system is composed of an i3-6098P, 8GB DDR4, ASUS H110M-K, 1TB HDD and a Sirtec High Power Eco II 450W(HPE-450-A12S II).

I came across a really cheap HD7870 GHz edition but my PSU only has one 6 pin connector, so I would have to use an adapter.
I have quite a lot of experience with building PCs but when it comes to PSUs I don't really know how far can I push stuff.

Would my PSU be fine with an adapter?

I'm not familiar with sirtec power supplies. Personally I think there are better quality brands out there and quality can vary from model to model. I couldn't find any readily available reviews of that model. For a 7870 you'd probably be better off with a 500w+ psu even if it were a known quality unit. 450w could be pushing it and if your power supply is already several years old then pushing it too hard to the limits could cause failure.

Better off getting a new psu for that video card, one that's 500w or more with the proper connectors for the gpu you're trying to use. If it doesn't have the proper connections there might be a reason why. For instance a psu that has only 1 6pin pcie connector, trying to run a gpu that takes 2 8pin...

It may not have the power needed which is why it doesn't offer the connectors for it.
