So i just bought some faster ram, namely 16gb of Corsair Vengeance Pro Red DDR3 2400MHz CL11, two 8 gig sticks. Since i installed it, the computer goes into a mini reboot loop, reboots around 2 times before i can even get to the bios, and then around the 3rd time it actually starts up as normal and works after that, with games and everything.

Ive checked in bios and it recognizes the new ram, and ive loaded the default settings in the UEFI, which sets the new ram at 1333mhz. At that speed it obviously works as normal, but the 2x reboot loop happens as soon as i load the XMP profile which sets it at its intended speed of 2400. Everything else is set to auto, including the voltage which is correctly seems to be 1.65 v as specified. I have aslo checked with PSU calculators an they say im well below reaching a wattage threshold.

Here is my Rig:

Core i5 3570k at 4.2 ghz,
Asrock z77 Extreme4-M
Asus Geforce 1080 Strix
Corsair TX550M 550W
Corsair Vengeance Pro Red DDR3 PC19200/2400MHz CL11 2x8GB

Before this, i had had 8gb of 1666mhz ram.

Any insights would be appreciated!

Solution
Not all 3570Ks can run 2400 smoothly, might try raising the DRAM voltage + 0.05 and the VCCSA voltage about + 0.07, if no joy, try dropping the DRAM to 2133 10-10-10-28 1.65 2T
