What are integrated graphics?

Solution
Integrated graphics are integrated in the CPU. Depending on what iGPU we're talking about, performance varies from 'just capable of media playback' to 'can run many games well at 768p/720p'. Most modern Intel chips have HD 520 or 530, of which HD 530 falls well into the 'can run games' category. However they'll never even go near discrete GPU performance. There's also the AMD APUs, which have beefier integrated graphics but are still sorely lacking for modern gaming.
Years ago the iGPU was on the motherboard, now it is integrated with the CPU.

These graphics are more then adequate for typical home/office use, and can display top end quality 1080p movies with no issue at all.

These iGPUs are not good for gaming and most games will not even play because they are bellow the minimum spec.

Most all Intel CPUs have integrated graphics, and AMDs A4/A6/A8/A10 chips do; although for anything less then a bottom budget gaming computer the intel chips will perform much better.

I've seen on youtube that A10 5800k can play Skyrim. Is it good enogh for LoL, Runescape, CoD MW2?
