Intake fan question

Hi guys,

I just got curious about 3 x 120mm Corsair AF 120 Red LED vs 2 x Aerocool DS 140 as intake fans. I have all the fans already and the matching 140mm rear exhaust for each set so no money will be spent. My case is a Air 540.

Do you want CFM or does noise matter?

2 140mm will push 70-80% of 3 120mm and will do it with less noise.

So from a pure cooling perspective 3 120mm is better.

Now you did not state what your build was so I don't know if you NEED the CFMs from the 3 fans.

Build is on my sig and I am going for pure cooling. Asus fan expert software will run them pretty quiet so noise will be minimal.

For pure cooling the 3x120mm is the way to go
