Hi all! Today is the day I build my pc! I just need to know; how many fans can i use? I bought the Corsair 750D which came with 3 fans, and I have 3 more... The PSU i have is a Antec 620W, and my motherboard is a Asus PH77V-LE

thanks!

the case should take around 8 fans

whether you have enough fan headers for 6 fans with out using a fan controller or splitter is another matter

You're in luck on an important point. The fans supplied with the case are 3-pin ones, so they can only be controlled by a 3-pin fan header that operates in Voltage Control Mode. Fortunately, the only CHA_FAN header on that mobo is exactly that type.

Now to number of fans. These days it is considered acceptable to connect four fans (maybe even 5) to one mobo CHA_FAN header using splitters. The limit is that a header can supply up to 1 amp, and most common fans use 0.2 amps or less. But you MUST check the fan specs to be sure. Using too many fans on one header can shorten the life of your mobo. As others above have said, likely you do NOT need 6 fans.

By the way, it's hard to find 3-pin fan splitters these days, but you can use 4-pin splitters. You can "stack" them, too, so if you get to splitters with THREE output arms each, plug one into an output of the other and you have 5 outputs for fans. Do NOT get fan HUBS because they cannot work with a 3-pin fan system. A HUB is different because, in addition to one input and two (or three) output arms, it has an extra arm that must be plugged into a power output connector from the PSU.
