Currently got a GTX 770, and a i5 4670k not overclocked, will the CPU bottleneck the GPU if I upgrade to a 6GB GTX 1060? and is the GTX 1060 a good idea?

Also, with an aftermarket cpu cooler, the cpu runs at around 65C max under load, would it also be worth it to splash out and get a water cooler like the corsair H80i?

That CPU can handle virtually any GPU without any bottleneck.
The 1060 isnt really geared towards 1440p gaming, it can run quite a few games at 60fps lowish settings on 1440p. A 1070 or 1080 is better for 1440p.

A 120hz 1080p monitor would be good with a 1060 or 1070 depending on how graphics intense the games are. You would need to be getting 120fps to take full advantage of the 120hz refresh rate

Heavy gaming, with high settings - not too bothered about ultra. I can get good FPS already with the 770 with high or very settings in everything except texture which i have to keep at medium on a 1080p 60Hz monitor, but im planning to upgrade that as well to something like a 2k monitor or a 120Hz one
