So basically, I was in a CS:GO match when this guy said "If anyone gets a one deag on the first round I will give you rainbow six siege for free" so, I did it. Long story short he gave me the game but I noticed that it said that it required an Intel Core i3 560 @ 3.3 GHz, and, because my PC isn't the greatest, I need an upgrade. I stumbled upon this CPU: Intel Cpu Pentium D 945 3.4Ghz.

Anyways, I was wondering if the Intel Cpu Pentium D 945 3.4Ghz would work as well as the Intel Core i3 560 @ 3.3 GHz. My PC requires a LGA775 CPU. Thank you very much and help would be very appreciated. :)

I doubt it, the pentium D 945 is a decade old and considerably worse than the i3-560. There's only a few chips that use the LGA775 socket that would have a chance as running the game as well as an i5-560. If you want to spend the money on it, you can get an Intel Core2 Quad Q9400 for 40$ on Amazon or an Intel Xeon X3360 for 60$ on newegg. Honestly though, the money would probably be better spent on a newer motherboard with a newer socket because there probably won't be any LGA775 proccesor that can handle new games in a few years.
