I'll be getting the SSD a bit after I purchase everything else since I'd go over my budget. But I want to know if this would give me the best for my budget ($650). I've heard that a Xeon performs similar to an i7, and I don't need the integrated graphics that an i7 offers since I'll be getting a GTX 1060. I'll be using this PC for gaming, streaming, and editing. The parts I have right now aren't really working out since I've had them for 3 years. Please let me know if there's something I should change, or if what I chose is probably the best I'll get for $650.

Current Specs:
MOBO: M5A78L-M LX
RAM: G.Skill DDR3-1333
CPU: AMD FX 6300
GPU: Asus GTX 650 Ti

There are USB 2.0 and 3.0 headers both (the 2.0 is just implied). You can then keep your case and just get a 3.0 plate for your 3.5" drive bay (if you're not using it) and really want front USB 3.0 (in addition to the 2.0 built into the case):

http://www.performance-pcs.com/vantec-2-port-usb-3-0-front-panel.html

Or just don't use the 3.0 header on the board. You could also use something like this internally if you had a need (say for lighting):

I would not if gaming is important to you.
Few games can make use of more than 2-3 threads. That is likely one reason why your FX-6300 did not cut it.
Similarly, the I7 hyperthreads hardly help for gaming.
What you want is a few fast cores.
With a H81 motherboard you are not going to get any overclocking.

I suggest a I5-6600K and a Z170 motherboard. You will pay less for the cpu and a bit more for the motherboard.
DDR4 ram will cost no more than DDR3.

On the ssd, plan on 240gb; 120gb is too small for windows these days.
And, Samsung evo is faster and more reliable.
Pay the price premium for one.

Hi,

I would assume that you have the PSU, Case and DvD drive if you need?

I suggest below a build with the parts you included in the list above followed by the complete build.

I've made a few suggestions:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1231 V3 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($252.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B85M-DS3H-A Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($54.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($61.88 @ OutletPC)
Storage: A-Data Premier Pro SP600 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($44.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB SC GAMING Video Card ($259.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Total: $674.83
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Can certainly get the 1241v3, but is not significantly different than the 1231v3 (which if you're close to a Microcenter, is on sale for $209). B85 board steps up the I/O just slightly, and the SSD has a bit better specs.

I already have a Hard Drive with Windows on it. The SSD is where I'll be saving my videos (It'll be able to write faster, write at a very stable bit rate, no stutters while encoding, etc).
The reason I want a Xeon is because I'll be editing, and streaming while gaming. I just don't need the integrated graphics that comes with an i7. I also don't plan on overclocking at all, which is why you don't see a third party fan on the list.

On PCPartPicker, it says that that motherboard has USB 3.0 headers, and my case doesn't have front panel USB 3.0 ports, atleast I don't think it does. My case is a Cooler Master HAF 912. Would that B85 board be able to work with my case? I do use those front USB ports, so if it won't work I'd have to get a different one.

Edit: I just found this one, let me know if you think it'll be okay, or if I should try something else.
