You would need a PCI-E flexible cable like this:
PCI-E Ribbon Cable
Just be warned though, this can add signaling issues. By extending the PCI-E lanes like this, you can add unaccounted for timing issues and noise. I'm sure they work relatively well, but it's always best to go in with eyes open.

No problem. You might want to make certain that the vertical IO slot will accommodate your graphics card. Most cards now have double wide IO plate. If the case only has room for a single side IO plate, then you won't be able to mount your card there.
