Fans larger than heatsink, affect temperatures?

I swapped some fans on my NH-D14 and due to the RAM being quite large, I had to move the fan a bit higher than normal. This led to the fan kind of "missing" the heatsink. It still covers the entire thing but the one side kind of spilled over.

Will this affect my temperatures? Pics

Mmm okay. Like I said it still covers the entire other side (and then a little bit, like 1-2 cms), just on the left side it sticks out a lot more. Thanks for the quick response.
