Do I really have to jam it in everything's aligned and it goes in about half way then it seems to not go all the way in
I'm having trouble plugging in my hd audio into my motherboard AAFP header

The HD AUDIO plug is always a bit tight. Just push it as far as your comfortable of pushing it and then try it out. Worst case scenario is that it doesn't work and you have to push it more.
