Hi. I recently bought a new PSU (a Zalman ZM700-LX) and after I installed it in the case it began making a strange grinding noise. I took it out and the noise seems to be gone but once I place it again inside the noise is back. I look to see if the case is not properly fixed so it may cause vibrations but that is not the cause. Do you think that the PSU fan is the problem? Should I use the warranty that I have or should I try to change the fan?

If zalman started making spagetti dinners would you buy it? Hell no, they are not known for quality in that area!
The ONLY thing that PSU has going for it is the brand name, in a brand that has no name when it comes to PSUs. It's absolutely terrible! If this noise gives you an excuse to return for a refund, do so as soon as possible!

I am 100% sure it is not electrical. I doubt that Zalman makes piece of crap PSU's as I have more products from the that work just fine (CPU Fans, the Case etc). I rechecked and there is nothing hitting the fan.

Thanks for the help. I replaced the fan and now the sound is gone. Thanks for that link, I never knew about that website.

There is no real review for the LX, only one is in korean done by absolute amateurs. The only thing you can get out of it is that the LX is EVEN WORSE than the gtx. It's fire hazard level bad when you look at the circuit board, and only rated to 596W on 12V (sign of piss poor design). Hell, internals hover around 75C with caps rated to 85C at half load, so definitely not something you want.
