Hi everyone. I hav an intel core 2 duo e7500 at 2. 93ghz on an asrock g41m vs3 motherboard with x4500 on board graphics ram 4gb. Am considering getting the gtx 730 gddr5 1gb card at 50 dollars because thats the best i can spare for a card. Is it a worthy upgrade from the motherboard graphics? I mainly play sports games like fifa 16 and nba2k16 and am okay with playing at 720p. With the gtx 730 work for me

Solution
I recently built an old sytem i had in the garage it has an e6600 You might look for a used card on ebay or someplace the 750ti or a gtx 680 or 670 might be around that much my gtx 680 seems to work fine with my e6600. i just looked and found a cple of better than a 730 cards on ebay for $45-70 and more
Acple of 7950 and 7970s an cple gtx 670s and 680s.

Sure, make sure your CPU won't be a problem in said games you're playing and you can invest in a graphics card. You don't have much budget to go any further, so baby steps, if that CPU isn't enough, 30$ buys you a Q6600 which is a Quad Core compatible with your motherboard, for future reference.

That requires a better power supply? A GTX 680 won't run on any power supply, I know that because I have one.

I don't see where he mentioned any PSU. My system is running on an older corsair rm 600watt. have had 0 issues.
Has been running 24/7 nsince i built it been playing divinity original sin enhanced and fallout 3.
But yopu are correct he needs to make sure the psu is up to the gpu he buys.

You also need to make sure you get one that has no 6pin pcie power requirement because the power supply you have probably does not have a 6pin pcie cable not 100% sure but i doubt it has one if it does it opens up your range a little more on which card you can use. I found several gtx750s and gtx750tis for less than 55 dollars on ebay. Some are 1 gig and some arfe 2 i would recomend a 2gig card.

I think he'll be hard pressed to find a GTX 750 Ti for that price. Cheapest I've seen them go was 70$ on ebay.

@Bmayega22 where do you live in the world? Can you do any online shopping?

Africa and they have a custom charge on stuff above 50 dollars in my country. And stuff thats 50 and below no customs charge. Thats mainly why the budget was strictly 50 and below. Because the charge is 60% the price of the item.

I got one on newegg at 5 dollars. The specs are
Cpu. Intel core 2 duo e7500
Ram. 4gb
Motherboard. Asrock g41m vs3 with on board graphics x4500
Power supply is 450w but it came with the case.
Toshiba hard drive 500gb. I think thats all. My main concern was whether the 730 gddr5 1gb was worth an upgrade from the on board graphics or there was a better card in that price bracket.
