So I upgraded my ram on my dell XPS 8300, Mobo model: Dell 0Y2MRG, with 4 sticks of 4gb dd3 ram, PC12800, CL11, 1600mhz. My old ram was 4 sticks of 2gb ddr3, CL9, 1333mhz. Now before I upgraded my old ram I used two sticks mixed with two sticks of the old ram and I would get hard crashes consistently. So that's when I decided to just get two more sticks of new ram to upgrade. I had heard that it was probably the different timings that caused the crashes between the ram sticks. But after switching the new ram I've checked CPU-Z and on the "SPD" tab all the ram sticks stats/specs are all the same however in the previous "Memory" tab it shows the timings of my old ram in CL9. So I'm wondering is there a difference and will this cause my pc to hard crash in the future? I also can't change the timings I heard for Dell PCs, at least for my model.

Solution
ram has built in timings and should run at its best just left alone you could go in the bios and mess about but the best timings are on the ram itself

No, it should be fine. it will be the same speed because that is the maximum the motherboard can handle, check the "Memory" Section on this site :).
