I did a hour run in aida64 and core #2 maxed at 76degrees core #1 was 75. The fan profile on my cpu cooler was set to normal. Are these ok Temps or should I lower my oc. Voltage set to 1.29.

And still no improvement in temp? Try adjusting the fan curve a bit, push it to the highest rpm there is just before it gets too loud for your taste, if the temps are still high you unfortunately might just have a bad overclocker on your hands :(

Temps are fine, it was aida64, so chances of the CPU getting that intense load is unlikely, what CPU cooler are you using though?

EDIT: you generally just dont want to run a CPU at that high temps for extended periods, but i will only stress about temps if it gets higher than 80. Especially for an Intel chip that generally runs cooler!

You make it sound like the 212 EVO is not a good cooler. Is it not one of the best air coolers? Ive seen it as the standard against what liquid coolers are compared too.

Silicone lottery, not all chips overclock as easily, your thermal paste might be giving you trouble though, remove the cooler and re-apply new thermal paste and see if it makes any difference! It's not comfortable temps, but they arent dangerous, first try re applying the paste, if there is no improvement in temperature, and if you are still not comfortable, by all means lower the voltage a bit!

Didn't mean for it to come off that way, for the price the 212 evo is an outstanding cooler, you just cant expect that much from it when overclocking

it's fine if it is while gaming but you should probably buy a better cooler anyways or maybe try change your thermal paste if it's already used too long

I dropped my voltage even further to 1.24v but when I run stress test in aida64 it shows the voltage as high as 1.36 what's going on here. Or am I reading it wrong.
