I have a asus 970 pro gaming/arua with amd 9590 chip, evga gtx 970 ssc. I'm trying to make use of my m.2 slot. But not sure how to get it working or what exactly I need to get it to boot from it. I picked up a Samsung 850 evo m.2 ssd. And can't see it in bios or in windows. What do I need ?? Thanks much.

Solution
970 PRO GAMING/AURA does not support 220 watt TDP (Thermal Design Power) CPUs such as the FX-9590 CPU. I suggest you try reading the CPU Support List.
https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/970-PRO-GAMING-AURA/HelpDesk_CPU/

The Thermal Design Power (TDP) is the average maximum power a processor can dissipate while running commercially available software. TDP is primarily used as a guideline for manufacturers of thermal solutions (heatsinks/fans, etc) which tells them how much heat their solution should dissipate.

If you take the time to read the downloadable motherboard manual, you will see on the 970 PRO GAMING/AURA the M.2 storage is for DATA only (not Bootable)...

I suggest you look at
