old mfm hardrive plus card

i bought a realy old hardrive (seagate st-238) and i got a mfm card with it now i have here some old computers from 1998 /1997 can i put the mfm card inside the computer the motherboard has these big long black pci slots (they arent pci tho) can i connect the card? plus drive

Remember, those old PCs had to be carefully configured to not create resource conflicts. Something as simple as two devices trying to use the same IRQ can cause these sorts of issues.

i just got the names the mfm card is an isa 8 bit card my motherboard has isa 16 bit slots
btw this is just my seccond thread on toms hardware so be aware :)

atm windows 98 with a 850 mb hard drive and 64 mb ram

i bought the hdd today tomorow it wil come but i forgot to order the mfm card so that one wil come in monday but until then ill listen to the nice jet engine :)
