I have an old 320 GB Samsung hard drive in my pc for about a year and a bit so far. However i got a new WD blue hardrive and is very good and I'm happy with it. i was just wondering if the WD hardrive would boot up windows 10 and load games such as gta5 faster if they were set onto that new hardrive

it can depend on a few things. such as if the new drive has a higher RPM's than the old one, if the drive is using a newer version of the SATA port your HDD connects to your computer with but that also depends on what version of the SATA ports your computer has.

It depends on the quality of each hdd. If your samsung hdd was over 3 years old or refurb, I'd say the WD hard drive would boot faster. Samsung has a pretty good reputation, though.

Boot and loading games involve many small files, so fragmentation and rpm speeds are important to load each file faster.

If you want a noticeable load difference, then look around at ssd.

I really want to put my windows 10 in the new WD hard drive because I don't want the old hard drive to fail with windows on it just to be safe, how do i do that without uninstalling windows as i upgraded to windows 10 with my windows 7 key and you can't get windows 10 free anymore.

you do not need a key if you did the free upgrade all you need to do after you reinstall windows 10 is connect your computer back up to the internet and it will automatically activate. if there is the rare case it doesn't activate it will still accept your windows 7 key
