Video card failed and has recovered AND Windows has prevented access to GPU errors

Good afternoon!

So I have been having some issues with my computer when running World of Warcraft (settings are on average, so it should not be having an issue with that).

The first issue is the "graphics card has stopped responding and has recovered" and this would occur a few minutes after loading up the game. It would cause the screen to freeze for a second or two than pop up. The game would recover and I could continue playing. This got annoying, so I checked previous posts here and elsewhere and found a fix (so I thought). I changed the Windows Registry for the TDR (which was causing the issue) to 10 seconds instead of 2. This worked for about a day.

However, starting this morning, the error occurred again, followed by "Windows has prevented this program from accessing the GPU", which completed froze the game. This occurred within a minute or two of loading the game.

I have done a clean install of my Nvidea drivers (have the most up to date one), and have also watched the temperature of my GPU while this occurs, and no issues appear there.

Any suggestions?

Let me know if I can provide further information.

Thanks for your help!

I would say its probably about windows updates. Try to update windows. If that doesn2t workt then try to uninstall the last windows updates. Similar thing happened to me, i was also having problems with windows update tool. New updates fixit my problems.
