I'm Looking For a New CPU - 6700K VS. 4930K

Originally, I was looking for a New CPU That ran DDR3 My thoughts Narrowed it Down to:
6700K Quad-Core - CPU: $320 Motherboard: $150
4930K Hexa-Core - CPU: $280 Motherboard: $190
I Can get Both of these at around the same Price
and will be using my CPU for Gaming/Rendering/Recording/Streaming
Which would be better all around? Never Found A Solid Answer

Both are good choices and have pluses and minuses, the 6700K is newer and DDR4 based, think that would be my choice. The 4930K is DDR3 oriented and has a couple extra cores to go with the Hyperthreading also, so while a good choice, the older tech may make upgrading harder down the road

As Tradesman1 says, the 6700K does not support DDR3. It supports DDR3L, which is low voltage DDR3, but you can't (shouldn't) use regular DDR3 with it.

None of Intel's current CPUs support DDR3. You'll need an older, discontinued CPU such as the 4790K or 4930K.
