Problems with external HDD

I'm having a really weird issue hopefully someone can shed some light on it for me.

I'm running a P67 Extreme6 MB I was having some minor problems and upgraded my Bios and everything was ok I then update all my drivers for the motherboard and when I update my intel drivers It is making one of my external HDD act funny.

After I first update my intel drivers it stopped recognizing my WD 5tb elements drive (i also have a 5tb WD mybook and an external 3tb seagate that worked with no issues after the update) I could not get it to recognize it at all until I disconnected it, tried it on my lap top and it worked perfect then I hooked it back up to my desktop and it showed up and worked. Everything is still on the drive and I can access everything but if I try to move anything to the drive, the drive and the drive I'm moving from will both disappear until I restart my computer. I have no problems moving stuff around from my other drives to each other but as soon as I try to move it to the WD elements drive they both stopped working. I have ran tests on the drive and it is showing up as having no issues at all. I can't find the old driver to try to reinstall from intel so does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you

Hi there bn775,

This is really strange.

Have you tried your other external drives on the same port? Have you tried all the ports?

Apart from that, I believe you can try restore your system to an earlier point in time. In case the issue persists, you can contact the MOBO's Support and ask them on that specific driver.
