Windows used to allow you to online upgrades to new editions of Win 7, but not now. It was called Windows Anytime Upgrade, and it did the upgrade automatically online for a fee, but it's ended. They want to to buy new Windows 10, so they ended this convenient option.
Now your options are limited. In any case, You will have to buy a new Windows 7 Pro disk and COA somewhere (Amazon or ebay). It allows you to upgrade from Vista or a lower edition of Windows 7 to Pro, but not from XP or older.
You may be able to do an "upgrade" from Home to Pro using the Pro disk. Be aware of whether you want 32 bit or 64 bit Windows 7 Pro. You buy different disks. With 32 you can't address more than 4GB, so if you think you want to add memory above that, use 64 bit and do a full install, not upgrade, If your old Windows 7 Home is 32 bit, it is easier to stay 32 bit and automatically upgrade, if you can live with the memory limit. You cannot "upgrade" from 32 to 64 bit, by the way; you have to do a new install.
First step is data backup to external media. Locate all the software disks for programs you want to add besides windows 7, just in case you need them if the upgrade fails and you must new install. Now with your PC running the Windows 7 Home edition, put in the new Win 7 Pro disk. It should autorun, otherwise start setup. It should eventually prompt you: Upgrade, or Custom Installation? Choose Upgrade and hopefully that will do the upgrade automatically.
The benefit of using the Upgrade is your data and programs move automatically to the new Win 7 Pro environment. Otherwise, if you do a custom install, after Windows 7 Pro is installed you have to restore your data from backup, and re-install all your other programs, taking more time. However, if you suspect you had problems with your existing Windows Home installation, it might be better to do a clean New Install of the new Windows 7 Pro and restore your data and programs fresh. You do that by booting your PC from the Windows 7 Pro installation disk and following the directions.
