I have 2 WD Black 3TB hard drives seen here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822236623

and I noticed that when I raid them together via my MoBo, seen here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131876 , I don't notice anything.. I don't see them listed as raided together

When I raid them via Windows 10 Partition creator they work for maybe a day then the disks become unrecognized or foreign and I am forced to reformat them losing my things in the process.

What can I do to fix my computer and it dropping the recognition of my hard drives?

Solution
Hi there JonRichardson,

That is unpleasant.

I just want to start with that WD Blacks are not really designed to be used in RAID environments.
Apart from that, I believe you can do some troubleshooting:
- Test both drives with WD's DLG (both short and extended tests): http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=dZNLVX
- Attach them with different cables to different SATA ports.(make sure you attach them to the RAID SATA ports)
- Update your MOBO's drivers.
- If nothing works, then you can attach those to another computer and try to create a RAID over there. In case you manage to do that over there, then you may need to contact the MOBO's Support.

Cheers,

Thank you for your response D_know_wd.. I ended up just taking them out of RAID and using them independently.
