I am looking at buying a MSI H170 gaming M3 motherboard and I was wondering if this motherboard would fit in my dell optiplex gx280 small desktop computer case and if the motherboard would have connectors for all my old parts (ie. front head phone jack, front USB jack, cd drive, floppy disk drive, exe.).

If my search-fu hasn't let me down, your Dell Optiplex GX280 is a very old Pentium D/LGA775 part and your CD drive is using the old and depreciated Parallel ATA interface.

Before talking about fitting it inside the case, only the HDD and the ATI Radeon X300 SE can be reuse with that MB (and the X300 is suspect... as I am sure that even the integrated graphic on LGA1151-Skylake chips would easily outperform that old card).

If this is about replacing a failed motherboard, you'd be better look for old/secondhand P35/33/945 board.
