Hi All,

I've decided to take a shot at building my first gaming PC. Before posting, I noticed the sticky that provided a template so I'm going to start with that.

Approximate Purchase Date: this week.

Budget Range: around $1500

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, software development, running a game server (nothing serious here. possibly running a server for games such as Minecraft/Unturned.)

Are you buying a monitor: No (working with two HP monitors at the moment. I doubt you guys would need the specs but I can provide them if it would help evaluate the build)

Parts to Upgrade: Everything (new build)

Do you need to buy OS: Yes. Preferably the windows version that allows remote connections into the machine. I think it's the pro version but we can exclude this from the PC build's total cost.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg.com. All the parts and links provided are from that site.

Location: Tampa, FL

Parts Preferences: The only preference here is an Intel CPU and Samsung SSD. Other than that, I don't know enough yet to have any real preferences.

Overclocking: Na.

SLI or Crossfire: From what I've read, I don't think I would need this. I think I picked out a really good graphics card.

Additional Comments: A silent running PC would be awesome. I was originally going to go with some shiny showoff type of components and display through a window but the way my desk and office area is setup, I would never be able to see the window anyway. I'm aiming for a gaming PC powerful enough to play console games such as Skyrim and GTA5. I've never been one that absolutely NEEDED to play on ultra settings but I would like them to at least look as good as they do on a PS4 console.

Include a list of any parts you have already selected with descriptively labeled links for parts. Please do not post only links.

Hey bro! Fellow Tampa local here. Looks like a sick build that should play most games on ultra settings for 1080p. Just so you know though, you're opting out of the newest gen of Intel processors (Skylake, 6th generation). I'm sure the devil's canyon won't hinder you at all, however. But I don't know if there would be any long term effects, like it may not be as future-proof. Anyway, I'm no expert, just letting you know. Maybe something to look into.

I replaced GTX1070 with GTX1080 because you are having two monitor setup and GTX1070 will have performance drop. Even GTX1080 will have performance drop but it will perform better in comparison to GTX1070.

Thanks for the responses, guys. King Dranzer, what's your opinion on the Rosewill case I had posted before? I would gladly go with all of the suggested parts you mentioned except the case. I really liked the design on the Challenger case so do you think switching to that from the Corsair you mentioned would hurt any? I have read in the reviews that the case can be difficult for cable management which is something I'm prepared to tackle but other than that, do you think I would lose out on anything else by choosing the Challenger rather than the mentioned Corsair?
