Just getting into PC gaming. I need a wifi adapter included as well. Only buying from certified sellers on Amazon, NCIX and Newegg. Taxes and shipping must be included. I don't care about settings/resolution, as long as I get 30+ FPS in moderately demanding games. Nvidia preferred if a GPU is in the build.

Solution
Ok, without Windows - the best I can come up with:

I assume you need a Windows license also? $450 is gonna be tough.

Any examples of games you're looking to play?

As an FYI, 30+FPS in any demanding title will require a GPU, there is no 'if'

I can't make $450 work, the 'best' I can do, that at least would pass as 'playable' would be $525 - but the performance it would give, doesn't justify the outlay

I'd say, minimum $600 for something reasonable:

On a really, really thin budget, $530 gets you playable:

Far from ideal, but at $450, your options are limited

Do you think a G3258 would be ok instead of an 880k? I think it would be a little more budget friendly, as I'm not including mail-in rebates, and I mentioned that I needed a wifi adapter.

I know you mentioned the wifi adapter, but the build itself can barely be done at $450 - let alone 'luxuries' like wifi, I'm just pointing that out.
Only so much can be done at $450.

I doubt the Pentium would work, as it's a dual core. Project Cars requires a quad core (min requirement being older Core2Quads an Phenom x4's), with F1 needing a minimum i3 (dual core + hyper threading) or an FX-4100.

While you could drop you GPU (as min specs needs a GTX 460, HD5870, GTX 210 or HD5770), anything that low is highly unlikely to be very 'playable'

Alright then, so if I go with the latest build you provided (880k 950), don't include a wifi adapter, that looks like a pretty solid build to go for. Thanks for your time :)

You could take the 860K + 950 and free up a little cash for a USB wifi adapter

 yeah, CAD is tough (and i live here!!) ;). Tried my best to make an i3 work, but couldn't without the GPU getting into 'pointless' territory

If, by some minute chance you happen to live in or near Calgary, pick up the 880K and give me a shout. I'll give you a USB wifi adapter
