I currently own a 250gb samsung 840 evo ssd. and I need more storage. I am planning on purchasing another 250gb ssd (Most likely a samsung 850 evo). I was curious weather there could be any issues with running a jbod, or raid 1 setup with mismatching ssd's. Thanks ahead of time for any reply's.

JBOD and RAID are mutually exclusive. JBOD treats each disk as a separate entity in a pool, so no issues there.

As for mismatched RAID 1, that depends on your RAID controller. If you are using Intel RST, there is a mode for mismatched sizes. Not recommended of course, but certainly possible.
