FPS lag after installing SSD

Guys i'm at a loss here.

I'm running an AMD FX 8350 @ 4.0Ghz and a GTX 960 4GB, 8GB of ram (i know it's low).

Recently i bought a Kingston SSD and i basically have a fresh system, however i get FPS lag and i have no idea why, i have installed all the latest drivers for my system and everything should be working fine yet it's not.

Please help.

I assume you're sure you're booting from the SSD, not your old HDD?

Have you checked the health of your SSD? Always potential you got a defective unit.

You say 'basically' a fresh system. Did you clean install? Or clone?
If cloned, try a clean install instead.

yes I am booting from my ssd

It was a clone, but what I did was I completely reset my system to the point where it's a fresh install of windows with nothing else, then cloned. Plus I don't know how to do a clean install of windows 10 without the cd because I don't know how to make a boot drive.
