I bought a new router over the internet and after opening the box i saw that it is not the same input as my ISP 4 wire DSL plug, but instead a 8 wire internet input to my new router. Can you give me advice how to adapt the router to work, it is a Xiaomi dual band router.

You MUST get a modem for your DSL. Your router expects ethernet input, which means you don't have a modem built into it. If you have the old device still, just turn off routing and have it pass though the dsl (read the manuals!)
