I want to renew my old timer. What I have in mind is to upgrade 4GB RAMs to 8GB, buy a new power supply, fans, and a case.
I am mostly using my computer for working (calculations in MATLAB and Cpp), and occasionally play BFBC2. How else I can upgrade my PC? What could be the top thing that would improve my PC most?

Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 @ 2.80GHz 45 °C Wolfdale 45nm Technology
RAM:4,00GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 399MHz (6-6-6-18)
Motherboard: ASUSTeK Computer INC. P5QL-ASUS-SE (LGA775) 42 °C
Graphics: 917W (1440x900@60Hz) 1024MB NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT (ZOTAC International) 56 °C
Storage: 465GB Seagate ST3500418AS ATA Device (SATA) 35 °C
Optical Drives: HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GH22NP20 ATA Device
Audio: SB 5.1 VX
