I Just finished my first build but I can't get the computer to boot to the BIOS. Connected everything and tried to boot it up, the first time the fans started spinning, only problem was that I could not get anything on my monitor.
After searching I found this (http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/faq/id-1893016/post-system-boot-video-output-troubleshooting-checklist.html) guide and did the first 6 steps. After the 6th step (booting with only 1 RAM stick) the fans also stopped working and there's only a solid red light on the motherboard.
Now I tried the rest of the steps but still only a red light on the motherboard. When I took out the RAM I was in my room where the monitor is, which has a carpet and I found that this could cause problems without grounding myself.
I hope someone here can help me or has some useful links, thanks for reading.
