I have an Asus Motherboard, and i checked the bios through CMD "wmic bios get smbiosbiosversion" i see from their support my current edition of the Bios is over a year old (nearly 2) So, the question is, is it worth it to update it? Most of the patch notes for the newer versions for mine is "improved system stability" and "improved system performance", dont know how much though, i play a lot of video games and a performance/less crash boost would always be nice

Do you have issues?

If you don't have any major issues or any that really bother you, DON'T TOUCH IT...

On the other hand, if you're overclocking and always putting your system under load then it can only do good (google it the update version first). I updated my Bios after 4 years, and really... I didn't have problems before hand and I didn't have any afterwards, I just wanted to do it because I was starting to overclock.

In the end, it's more of a grey area. if it's simple to do it. then do it.

Yeah i've heard so, people say it can permanently ruin your entire system, so its kinda risky
