I've just built my first ever PC (!!! :) !!!) and installed Windows 10 64 bit. The resolution of the screen was all wrong, but I changed it manually on the desktop. When trying to install the drivers from nvidia's website for my graphics card (tried both manually selecting the driver and letting it scan the hardware) the install stops saying the drivers are not compatible with my version of Windows!

How should I solve this?

Thanks!

EDIT
I have already performed windows update and restarted several times; now windows update is saying my system is up to date and yet the drivers are incompatible with the OS.

Solution
You need to upgrade to at least Windows 10 1151 or 1607 , then drivers will install.
