I just put together my new gaming pc last night. It has an msi 970 gaming mobo. I downloaded Windows 10 to my ssd and won't connect to the Internet. I checked and there were no network adapters in the device manager. Just goes from "monitors" to "other devices." The lan port on the back of my mobo does not light up at all as in there's no connection? Please any help?!?

You need the motherboard drivers. Did you download the "killer" network driver for windows 10 from the manufacturer's site ? Like these -- https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/support/970-GAMING.html#down-driver&Win10%2064 for Windows 10 64bit ...

Yes actually under "other devices" there is "Ethernet controller" but it has a yellow exclamation point? Any idea if that is a fix?

I have not downloaded that. How can I with no internet on my pc? Onto a USB then transfer to my pc? Should I get the "killer network driver" or "killer network driver (driver only)"

If you have the disk that came with the motherboard it may have the necessary Windows 10 drivers. If you don't have an optical drive or the original CD, then you will have to find a way to download it on another computer and put it on a flash drive.

Thank you so much this has been a process of probably 4 hours now. I downloaded the killer drive on a USB from another computer and transferred to my new pc and updated the Ethernet controller with that exact file and it worked!!!
