[strike]Any atleast 4 core CPU will be enough. If you are on budget, go for something like i5 6400 or i5 6500. If you are willing to spend more, go for i7 6700.[/strike]

Didnt see you have a 1150 socket. In this case i would go for Intel Core i5-4460, Intel Core i5-4590 or Intel Core i5-4690 or if you are willing to spent more for better cpu (if you want to stream or record your games) go for Intel Core i7-4790.

Well, you can go for Intel Core i3-4360 too, but in newer games that require atleast 4 physical cores, it will bottleneck. But if you want to play games like CSGO or something like that you will be ok. But in games like Witcher 3 you will see i3-4360 is weak.

Yes it will be a lot more powerful. But still if you plan to game newer games, I recommend you to buy i5. Because Its possible in 1-3 years you wont be able to play CSGO on maximum fps that your GPU can do, because CSGO is CPU insensive and if they upgrade to Source 2, you will bottleneck.
So for future and better gaming experience, Quad-core i5.

A little bit. Still only 2 cores (4 with multi-threading). But if you are willing to spend more money on 1151 motherboard, then you can use that money for 1150 socket i5

Well, your best bet is to go for good i3. Or save up those 40 dollars for a lot better cpu. Or if you really want, go for amd FX (more cores but a lot weaker cores than i3, i5..) but you will need to buy AM3 socket motherboard

Skylake cpu's (those with 6*** after i3, i5 or i7) has better single core performance and has less power consumption. so if you cannot get i5 but you can get that 1151 socket motherboard, go for it and buy something like i3 6100 or i3 6300.

Should i do that or get a M5A78L-M UBS/3 MOBO and a FX 8350 CPU?

Intel is better for gaming + it supports hyper threading. You can google videos and user benchmarks between ex. i3 6100 and fx 8350

Its better cpu on paper but not much of a difference in gaming. But if you have money for it, go for it. Its better. Slightly, but better.

Its a average of 2-5 FPS difference for 20-30 dollar difference and i got the money to do that so i will. If i happen to not i will get the 6100 cause they work on the same mobos right?

You cannot overclock intel cpu if its not K version and you dont have a motherboard that supports overclock.

Ah makes sense. And i am going to get the http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128875&cm_re=lga_1151_ddr3-_-13-128-875-_-Product mobo so it can overclock. I rma'ed the old mobo to get money back. When i said it can overclock i didnt mean the cpu can but the motherboard supports it.

As far as I know you CANNOT overclock any intel i cpu if it isn't K version (ex. i5 6600k) because it has locked multiplier. Well there is a way, but is very dangerous and it will end your warranty. IF you have motherboard that supports OC but cpu that doesnt, you cannot OC it without putting yourself into the risk of damaing your MB and CPU, or even your whole pc build!
Think about it, its not worth the risk. And for overclock you NEED to get better cooler, or it will overheat = lower performance and lower life.

For your own sake, go for i3 6100 with LGA 1151 socket motherboard. You will be able to play games well. Even games like witcher 3 BUT on lower resolution with lower graphics. Hope it helps!
