Hello everyone,

I want to buy a SSD (SanDisk SSD x110 2.5" 32GB SATA 3 for $20), my question is, my Asus P5KSE is SATA 2, and this SSD is SATA 3, am I able to plug it into my very old mobo, if yes, will it be worth the money. My plan is to install Win10 on the SSD, and leave the ssd only for Windows, and my other stuff on my (soon broken) HDD 1tb.. Thanks in advance

My specs:
Q8200 2,33GHz
4GB DDR2
GTX470
550W psu
Windows 10 64-bit

32GB will be a hassle. A LARGE hassle.
Will it work? Yes, just barely.
Will you spend far too much time managing that space? Yes.

For instance, I have a 32GB Asus Transformer. Win 10 Home 32bit. Everything else lives elsewhere.
I could not run the recent Anniversary update, because there was simply not enough free drive space.

It's not worth $20 to do this.

Yes you can do it.
I have an old desktop that has only SATA 2 and its boot drive is SATA 3 SSD.
I also have a relatively new laptop that has SATA 3 and its drive is SATA 3.
Yes the laptop boots faster due to its SATA3 port but the desktop OK too.

But I do wonder if 32 gb do the job...
